Hello fellow players. Shad and I will be hosting the first PvP tournament since 2017. The bracket style is single elimination, meaning once you lose the match, you are out of the tournament FOREVER. Much like previous tournaments, each match will be conducted when both players are online instead of having a big meetup with all the participants. The gear you will be fighting with is full iron armor and an iron sword. The gear will be provided though, so you do not have to worry about using your own supply.Rules Official PvP Rules • Do not steal items unless agreed otherwise. • Do not use /fly in PvP matches. • Do not fight in gmc. • If someone is fighting, do not interrupt. • Do not toggle PvP during the fight. • Keep it respectful, even if you lose. • Do not build around the arena. • Do not spawn kill. Tournament Rules • Two players will randomly be matched with each other. First to 3 wins (Best of 5) advances to the next round of the tournament. • For a tournament match to count, a staff member must witness the match, then report the results to the hosts, CCShad or steve_the_block to update the bracket. • If two players matched against each other do not play their match within 7 days, they will be given a set time and date to play. If both players still cannot show up, they will be disqualified. If only one player does not show up, that player will be disqualified. • Rematches can only occur if BOTH players agree to do so and if the match after their own has not been played already (I don't want to hear any complaints about "lag"). Prizes: 1st Place: 20,000 points + $1000 (IGN Money) + $10 (IRL Money) 2nd Place: 10,000 points + $500 (IGN Money) + $5 (IRL Money) 3rd Place: 5,000 points + $250 (IGN Money) How to Enter If you would like to participate in this tournament, please contact me through /msg, /mail send, discord, or even just reply to this thread with your Minecraft ign. Update 4/20/20: Signups have ended, and I have sent mail and discord messages to all of you participating. The bracket is now up as well. If you did not receive my message: Please plan on being on the server between Monday to Wednesday (April 20 - April 22) for the First and Second Round. If a staff member or myself is online, please have one of these people come and moderate your match. If you are busy, it is recommended that you reach out to your opponent to schedule a specific time to conduct your match through /mail send, /msg, or discord. Please use /warp wmat or /warp pvp2 for the location of your match. |

Update 4/23/20: Because all of the First and Second Round matches have not been completed yet, the new deadline to complete these matches is now Sunday (April 26). Here are the scenarios that could occur if all the matches have not been played: • If both players of a match in the First Round do not show up, they will be disqualified, allowing their opponent in the Second Round to move on to the Quarterfinals automatically. • If one player of a match in the First Round shows up, but the opponent does not, the present player automatically moves on to the Second Round to face their next opponent. Update 4/26/2020: After discussing it with Shad, we have decided to lift the April 26 deadline for those who are still in the First and Second Round. For those who have not competed yet, this will allow you more time to face your opponent. Please be proactive in reaching out to your opponent. Hey andertios. I would say no, these tournaments are not regular. The previous tournament was hosted three years ago. It really depends on someone who is willing to host the tournament along with several people who are willing to participate. If you want to host one yourself, you could ask Shad for more information. |
