Let me address both Wowman and Loki in this.

Loki has been rude on the forums. He is guilty of that and should be punished fairly.

Wowman, you are equally as guilty as he is of being rude. Calling someone a homophobe isn't something you do on a public thread, or at all for that matter. And you have also been rude on many other topics.

I suggest instead of posting offensive and hurtful comments, you can post something about how they could get better (Mod Applications) or a good solution to the problem (Complaints).

And I don't mean a solution as "BAN Him(/her)!"

Both of you should be punished for this. That's my stand on this and if you don't like it make a separate thread.

A homophobe is someone who has a negative attitude or is against gays or gay rights. Right now, as gays should have every privilege that everyone else does (they are still people, treat them like it), calling someone a homophobe could be taken as offensive.

And helpful comments is not what you post about 90% of the time. I often see you starting arguments over matters of opinion and things that don't concern you.

And for the record, I am Christian and I support gay rights. Sue me.

Quite frankly vultur your comment has made no difference.

If someone is a homophobe, I couldn't give a sh*t if they got offended if I called them a homophobe.

Its one of the worst forms of racism on earth today and if someone is going to disrespect me so deeply why should I have any form of respect for them?

Accusing someone of being homophobic without any basis or justification except that someone else seemed to mention an opposite inversion in a previous comment is as good as an insult as it doesn't relate at all to the content of the topic (James' moderator application) or past experiences with the applicant.

Dovakiin only mentioned how he thought james was "not unhomophobic". The prefix '-un' changes the meaning of the word to the opposite, which is homophilic (from the greek 'phobia' meaning fear to 'philia' meaning love). Though saying 'not' does not imply an opposite, it just means 'anything else except for that'. So, just because some else said James didn't have an avocation for homosexuality, you decide to go on about how much you hate him and how evil you think he is.

Again in another comment you state directly to James that he has offended you from which no signs of truth can be gleaned from anything he wrote in any of his posts. So, no wonder Loki responded as he did. Yes, I believe it was inappropriate for him to use such rude and vulgar language like that on the forum, but he must have been really angry about you making such false comments towards James.

I agree with Vulturboy in that you are both guilty, but since you both committed offence against each other the punishments cancel out.

Hmm. I didn't say in any way that I hated him, or even disliked him. I was saying it about homophobes in general.

I didn't use any swear words, vulgar words, etc, however Loki did so I don't belive im in the wrong. However I am happy to drop the subject now.

Equally treated: You hate people people gonna hate you.

However I spoke to James about this and the matter is resolved.


However, I believe that your condoning the way Loki spoke to me which I believe is unacceptable & deserves a warning. I didn't hate on James, I was simply saying I dislike homophobia and homophobes.


I understand what you mean, I didn't think it through that way and I misunderstood but Loki's reply was totally unacceptable.


I don't want him punished, I want him to know that I wasn't hating on James, I want him to know that he shouldn't reply in that manner when he doesn't actually know whats going on (which he stated in the comment) and to receive a warning.

Hes comment was:

Also, I didn't call James evil, I said homophobia is evil.

And just to clarify my comment

Its horrid and evil. If I was saying James is evil I would have said "Your horrid & evil"

Then I went on to say F homophobes, Not James, Homophobes.



Now that I have clarified I am going to drop it. I think it has been looked at wrong. I apologise James, for judging to quickly, I have suffered with people being Homophobic in the past which is why I get so crazy about it.


Also, I apologize Luigi for Judging to fast. However you made a mistake in your post as I wasn't hating directly to James, only to homophobes, but I see where the mistake came from.

Thanks for dealing with this and I am grateful and hopefully there will be no problems.

I see that this issue has been resolved and wowman apologized to james, of which i am glad. and i would like to thank Evans, for the fair way he dealt with us both.

Yet i still feel the need to clarify. 1. people are entitled to their opinions wowman. if someone is homophobic that is their right to feel so. until they have specifically hurt you, they are guilty of nothing. Those who have given you problem before, its only them. not all homophobes everywhere.

2. regardless of whether or not your comment was directed at james or not your post was unacceptable, as much as mine was. I feel utterly justified in my response, as he was enourmously disrespecting james on his helper app which had been accepted, which i do not appreciate.

3. I was not raging on you because im homophobic, in case that is what came to mind. I simply do not appreciate someone dissing one of my closest online friends.

4. i did in fact understand what was going on, i wasnt sure if YOU were. either way the thinking behind your comment angered me. I do not like someone trying to get me in trouble and "dealt with" for attempting to stick up for my friend.

5. i would like to say personally to wowman that i have and have had friends that are in fact homosexual, and bipolar. they have talked to me about the various problems and i understand that while you may be angry at homophobes due to past grievances, that is no reason to post about james the way you did, and basing it off someone said when you have zero proof what so ever. The sole reason i have remained calm throughout this and have not come unglued, is because i saw your side of things a bit better. But again that does not excuse your behaviour. However, i admit i should have taken some time to look into your side before speaking the way i did.


*disclaimer: i am in no way trying to start stuff, and am simply stating my opinion of those things i felt should be said, and hope i have not caused further problems or hard feelings. thank you.

Firstly, you accuse James of being homophobic. Therefore, because you think he is a homophobe at that point in time, all the other things you said about homophobes in that same comment directly apply to him as well.
Which is why I didn't make a mistake about that in my post.

Also the fact that you were saying this on his moderator application contributes to my reasoning.
