A big part of playing this server for me is using my money to invest and become even richer, something which is now impossible.. I had just started to get up to a large cash stack when suddenly a tax is imposed on the server... Like wtf this is minecraft lets get back to the game! i like selling and tradeing and money is becoming worthless after this tax people wont even sell their diamonds for 10k each cause money is worthless. And aslo i was just getting stoked on getting my perfect cash stack but then this tax ruined it!!!!!!! i hate this tax and im sure everyone else does too... http://gyazo.com/c8ddd936b8fc24743735d6b48a6af3de |

I'll tell you what makes money worthless: inflation. The main cause of inflation is increased supply of money in the economy. In real life, this would mean prices of goods and services also go up too as the currency is devalued. However, on the server I cannot keep continually increasing the prices in the shop, so instead there is a tax to decrease the supply of money, and also even out the distribution of wealth so that poorer players have a chance to buy and sell. |

Yes, but in real life the tax money goes straight back into the economy, it doesn't just get "deleted". |

I do like the idea of taxes, it won't take as much time as changing the signs at the shop and does the job so that it keeps the balances of the players balanced. |

Wowman, in real life there are limited resources. On the server, many collective goods and services are seemingly just created out of nothing. Think of the taxes as being used to maintain public areas such as the shop, pvp arena, jail, spawn and other public warps. There is no charge for usage of commands, or for greif insurance (CoreProtect plugin being used to roll stuff back). In real life, these things need to be paid for. |

i also hate the tax. Donators vips and above should be taxed. Not citizens. That actually seems fair. Since higher ranks have more commands than citizens. |

Looking over it, the tax actually seems to be a pretty good idea. It's a constant motivator to produce resources and sell them in order to have the money for something you may need. With no tax everyone would build up ridiculous supplies of cash, and player to player trading would be all but non-existent, not to mention ore mining could become obsolete. How much is the tax anyway? |

Well apple a single fu*** diamond is 10000 in the shop. Seems kinda unfair. |

Right, and as a premium resource I think the price should be high enough that a lot of work should be needed to bypass what would be an arduous mining trip. If the price is too high to work for, trading with another player, or mining for the resource naturally, are both feasible options. Not to mention that the tax likely stimulates player activity, as most players (including myself) will want to keep their balance high, and staying active in order to create/sell resources will aide in maintaining a high balance. Does anyone know how much the tax is?Oh, and +1 to what Luigi said about inflation. If everyone has 10 dollars, bread is 5 (random number example). If everyone has 10,000 dollars, bread is 5,000. Same ratio, ridiculous numbers. |

well im pretty sure that a standard amount of bucks on a average player is around 4800 in game bucks. a diamond is 10000. oh and i calculated the amount of money a person has if he/she voted every day. So yeah. Too damn much Chrispy Apple. |

Alright, good point. Diamonds=too much, but I still believe the tax as a whole is important. |

Donators have maybe 2 more commands than you, broadcast and jump. |

Apple, the taxes for high (above 100.000 I believe) are 26,6%, middle is 5,5% |

Thank you Shindori, that doesn't seem so bad. How often are they deducted? |
