A couple of points need to be made here, the first being I couldn't give a rats ass if you get offended by that, I am doing nothing wrong by supporting people. However, YOU are by discriminating people because of their fucking sexuality.  It's adam and eve not adam and fucking steve? Really? Maybe not Adam and Steve but it might be Bob and fucking Martin bro. Some people prefer members of the same sex, what's the problem? It does not affect you in any way.  "FUCK GAY MARRIAGE" Lol... I am sure 80% of people would strongly disagree as thousands of gay students come out every day, gay marriage is fucking legal now. Because of people like you, 60.000 gay students commit suicide in America alone each year. That's one fucking country. This needs to stop NOW and it needs to be taken seriously. This is a bigger offence than griefing an entire city, because that's not real life. |

That would mean that 1/8 of every gay person attending any sort of school under the age of 30 kills themself every year. But I'm assuming that you would realize how insanely that contradicts with the information provided by the numerous websites, including the CDC, listed above. Just saying. |

Gay marriage is a very controversial issue. Many people believe marriage is a sacred religious bond between a husband and wife, and for two people of the same sex to get 'married' is very offensive to them. No, I do not condone what they said, and I'll thank you to not put words in my mouth. I never said that the comments made were not homophobic (as in a fear of homosexuals), but I think you're mixing up and confusing such homophobia with hating homosexuals and discrimination. In no way did the comments stated judge or treat a group of people in any way. They simply said they did not agree with the act of two people from the same sex getting married because of their religious beliefs, albeit in a rude and vulgar way. Take this as an example. I say I like to eat oranges, but someone else doesn't like to eat oranges so they say they hate eating oranges. Just because they hate eating oranges doesn't mean they hate me because I like eating oranges. If they said, "I hate people who like to eat oranges", that would be discrimination because it is judging (to hate) a group of people based on what fruit they like to eat. Prejudice is judging someone based on something before you get to know them (pre-judging). Your response to my comment is a perfect example of the point I was making when I said "you go around calling everyone who disagrees with your views a homophobe". Now, I was probably a bit over the top by using the word "everyone" but it was for hyperbolic effect, and by "a homophobe" I meant in the sense to hate homosexuals. In my comment I stated what some people might think about gay marriage in an attempt to relate it to what the original player in-game had been saying, yet you read something you didn't want to hear, took a look at my username then went into rage mode and wrote about how much of a homophobe you think I am and how I condone hate speech. I said nothing hateful at all towards anyone in my post, including you or any homosexual. You have done this to Idventure; you called him a homophobe after you had an argument with him, and a few others I cannot remember. I agree, these forums are no place to insult people, but I don't believe any insults were ever thrown. We shouldn't be discussing controversial issues such as gay marriage either, though if you keep such a nickname on the server, you need to be prepared to accept that not all people in the public will agree with your views on gay marriage and when a controversial debate starts you shouldn't take it personally. (no, I'm not talking about the most recent incident where that guy swore, because that wasn't a debate, it was very rude) |

A very good point Luigi, however I don't think using fruit as an explanation was your best. I disagree with you completely on that.People say "homophobia" is a fear of homosexuals, but nobody in the world are scared of homosexuals, unless for obvious reasons of course, don't get me wrong. They call people who hate homosexuals homophobes, not because they are scared of them, simply because they hate or dislike homosexuals. A phobia is a fear of something, but homophobia is a hate. Now I'm not saying people cannot have an opinion, they absolutely can, like your "orange" example. However, I think In situations like this we shouldn't be using oranges as an example, nobody is going to get offended by someone else saying they hate oranges, but maybe someone is going to be offended if they say they hate gay marriage, that should be kept to yourself. I said James was homophobic, Idventure, and this guy, Idventure was homophobic at one stage using memes and the word "fag" or "faggot" would also spring in a lot, I called James a homophobe mistakenly because his friend said he was homophobic, I wanted to see his response on that, but I admit I was way out of line. I haven't done anything wrong, if you were going to comment it should have been about the wrong doings of this guy, since this literally has nothing to do with me. The complaint was against this guy being hateful, not against me "going round calling people homophobes". I am fully aware that not everyone will agree with my views on same-sex marriage or homosexuality, but I do believe it should be kept to themselves, I am always going to take it personally when they are "hating" on homosexuals because it is personal. Thank you for clarifying everything, but you really should have been more careful when writing that though, and I stand by the fact that it should not have been said. Anyway, the guy has been banned and this is dealt with and over. This is honestly one of the hardest things I've ever had to write as it is very hard to explain for me, so my apologies if its a tad confusing. There will always be people against gay marriage and if you use a nickname like that, those people are going to figure out that you are a homosexual and they wont like you because of that. If you are going to use said nickname you will have to take the hits. If you really feel bad about getting all this hate, you should get rid of the nickname. I'm not saying don't have pride in being gay. You can still be gay pride. But... Some people are homophobes and the best way of dealing with them is to not let them know you're gay in the first place. I feel like explaining that even though the word "homophobia" in its literal meaning means that someone is afraid of homosexuals, modern society uses it as a term to describe a wide variety of people with various opinions about homosexuality.Same way as the term "xenophobe" is used towards people who do not want muslim immigrants and what not in their country, even though many aren't actually afraid of muslim immigrants. When people started using these words in such situations, I don't know, but thats how it is done. (I usually do not use those words, but generally, especially media does) |

I'm going to give my two cents because i am one who believes in equality for all. There will always be those who dont agree with your style of living wowman...Just like those who didn't agree Blacks should be free in the US... Those people are the ones you should never focus your attention on. They will rob you of your dignity by the way you respond and rob you of your pride. I slightly agree with Luigi present yourself properly as i have previously told you on the forums. Hold your head up high and always remember that you are never alone. Many will claim the word of God and have no clue they speak the words of men long dead and forgotten to history....Modern church folks never remember the words "LOVE THY ENEMY" but remember anything hateful....go figure...... DUDE! stop with this constant issue with homophobia...i get it! im a lesbian! im also in my 20s and i get that its upsetting...but THESE ARE A BUNCH OF CHILDREN its not that they actually understand...it took me a long time to realize what homophobia was and while i congratulate you realizing that its wrong and accepting your sexuality because it is great you have to realize it sucks and it happens....but youre on a server with a huge majority of kids on it....while i believe that it should be quashed (which it does quite quickly) it cant be completely policed...you have to realize that its gonna happen your entire life...i deal with "theres a man in the womens bathroom" i deal with not being able to try on clothing because for some stupid reason i dont want to make ignorant people have a fit because its embarassing "theres a guy in the womens changing room" i cant even use the womens locker room at the gym without having an issue because i feel like its embarrassing to explain to 40+ year old women....it sucks dude and i get it but it doesnt mean you have to just complain about it constantly...you signed up for it being out and proud....im sorry you have to learn this so young and it makes me really sad....whatever...youre just gonna post some smart ass comment back or some stupid explanation thinking i havent heard it....if you need to talk feel free to reach out to me |
