I didn't at all insult your language.This all started 3 days ago when I revoked your invitation to the debate. Today, I didn't at all insult your language, I simply said that to some its rude to speak in a foreign language because they do not understand, If you want the full conversation I have it. It wasn't rude, it was a fact. |

Wow, wow, wow Chip, don't even go there.I'll start by saying how dare you imply that I'm a racist. How is is discrimination? Me & MonkeyPawned asked them to speak English in a VERY polite manner under the circumstances, speaking in a language where not many people understand is very rude. I backed up Monkeypawned when she was telling them to speak in English. Don't you DARE say that I discriminated him. I remind you that these insults are over the last 3 days, the language incident was yesterday. not once did I insult him, LET ALONE DISCRIMINATE HIM. You've used discrimination in the wrong place, and know that YOU have offended me by saying that. Don't tell me I was in the wrong as well as Jason, when I held back and bit my tongue for three days straight without a single insult thrown back at him. I'd really thank you to get your facts straight instead of calling someone a racist & saying their in the wrong when they clearly aren't. Anyways, thanks for your reply. Regards. |

I think it's great to see people conversing with each other in their native language. It reminds us that the internet is powerful tool for bringing together a multitude of cultures in an environment where we can all experience the wonder of variety and new things. If Lerz and Jason want to speak Dutch, that's great; from the experience of listening to them we might learn a few words in a new language as we are encouraged to discover what they were saying. For example, a lot of people used to speak Norwegian on the server, and over time I began to learn some myself, which was a very exciting and rewarding experience. Why should everyone be forced to speak in English if some can much more easily converse in their own native language? Lerz and Jason were talking between themselves. They didn't address you or anyone else. Learning a new language such as English can be quite difficult for some people. If you think about how much effort they put into learning English to address you in a language you know well, you can at least give them the decency to still uphold their culture and language when they talk between themselves. In essence, if you wanted to participate in their conversation, you should learn their language; just like they learnt English to participate in the conversations and discussions you have in English. |

I agree with luigi, its perfectly fine to use other languages unless those players use it to convey rule breaking, as i said before, we cant moderate languages we dont understand, as it was lerz speaking it then its fine. |

Thank you Luigi for that comment. Some mods really can't stand other languages and therefor call us rude for speaking a different language. I would stop if there actually was a rule that stated "Only speak English in the main chat" but there is no such rule, so I think that it's fine.Once again, thank you. |
