How to get chat logs:Ok so if in game you are scammed and there are no staff on, or a player says something extremely rude to you and you take offence(and you forgot to take a screenshot) then here is how to get chat logs for what happened as on the forums people can read it whenever. Firstly if you are scammed then if you can remember take a screenshot, this can be done by pressing the F2 button on your keyboard. But if you miss the chance to take a screenshot the next best thing to do is to get chat logs. MAC: The first thing you'll want to do is go to the 'Go' at the top of the screen then click 'Go to folder' Next what you do is type in or copy this ~/Library/Application Support Now choose which launcher you use. ( i have only added the main ones) Minecraft: ->Minecraft -> Logs All the files you see are all the things that have come up in chat each time you log in. Try to estimate how many times you logged in since the incident and go that many from the bottom. After that you should get something that looks like this: When you found the right file what you could do is copy text that shows 1. The deal being made 2. You making your side of the deal 3. Them not making their side of the deal If this is done right and you have sufficient proof, then the scammer will be brought to justice or if it is not as bad then you could get your things back. Technic: ->technic ->modpacks ->[the modpack you use] ->logs Then do the same steps All the files you see are all the things that have come up in chat each time you log in. Try to estimate how many times you logged in since the incident and go that many from the bottom. After that you should get something that looks like this: 1466009504_unspecified.png Credit to http://www.pocketpixels.net/forum/m/19509497/viewthread/27496013-how-to-get-chat-logs-on-mac/post/last PC Ever needed to find someone's msg or an IGN that you lost due to the chat scroll limit or logging out of the server? Here is an easy way to find your old chat logs 1. Type %appdata% into your windows search bar then press ENTER 2. Double click on your ".minecraft" folder 3. Double click on your "logs" folder 4. Depending on your file sorting settings this is what it should look like, you can open up the dated archives or view your latest chat in the text doc named "latest" [IMG] 5. Lastly, if you are looking for a specific word/msg/IGN you can press CTRL-F while your text doc is opened to search for it If this is done right and you have sufficient proof, then the rule breaker will be brought to justice or if it is not as bad then you could get your things back. When you found the right file what you could do is copy text that shows 1. The deal being made 2. You making your side of the deal 3. Them not making their side of the deal If you have any questions or suggestions I would be happy to answer them or add things to this guide. |

The Mac Observer's John Martellaro is promoting Warner Crocker's viewpoint that Microsoft's marketing is "clueless" for promoting compatibility with USB ports and legacy x86 applications because "the mobile computing world is moving (has moved) far beyond that kind of thinking. We're not talking horse and buggy vs. automobiles just yet, but we're damned close." So, Windows is horse and buggy (worse than the "truck" in Steve Jobs' explanation of the iPad) whereas truly mobile devices like the iPad and iPhone are automobiles. Windows is old fashioned in other words. " Warning signs. What is good could quickly turn bad," written by a current employee three weeks ago.
