So I got on the server today, and was pretty excited upon learning that the world border had been expanded. I immediately ventured out, with an inventory packed with gear, elytras and several Woodland Explorer maps, soon to find out the border had only been expanded by a thousand blocks in each direction :(A few people set out to find the mansions at the same time as me, but all adventures yielded the same result. I would suggest using the /locate command to find 4-5 nearby mansion (obviously keeping the whereabouts of these secret) and expanding the border to at least include these. I imagine they might be about 12-16k out, since they randomly spawn beyond 10k. |

Hm, good idea, but more border required more storage as more data is going to be created. |

if we expand the borders too much, it will overload the puny server data capacity, and will probably force another reset. people will then complain again about everything, and we will go full circle from 2 months ago. |

I get why we have a world border, I'm just saying it was pretty silly expanding it for the almost sole purpose of finding woodland mansions, when they are still well beyond the border :P |

The nearest mansion is 60,000 blocks from spawn which is way beyond the border :( |

I have to say, I got really excited when I learned that the border had been expanded to 17k, and even more excited when I actually found a mansion. Then I noticed a small sign on the door saying "The entire Mansion has been claimed by Belgnbor". Crap. Better go find some more maps. |

I have claimed the Woodland Mansion, it took ages to find, I couldn't believe I was the first there. I don't intend on destroying it. I've added a heap of windows & skylights as its so dark inside and I'm still clearing it room by room. You need a chest full of torches to light the place up. I have actually tagged one of the new baddies and locked him in a room so he doesn't despawn. Still got to find the other new baddy and try and tag him and lock him up. Once Its all lit up and the garden beautified a bit I wouldn't mind people stopping by to take a look. But its a big job and is not complete yet. Doesn't help that I am a scaredy cat of the dark and have poor eyesight to boot. |
