So, idk what you all view me as.. when you say my name or think of me, do you think of me as an admin, or someone who has a large influence over the server? or straight up someone that's an asshole?Loki and i have been having a bit of a chat lately, and he informed me that players are afraid to approach me or luigi, in fear that we'll shrug them off or just ban them for stating their opinion. i don't really know where it all changed, i guess it's kinda just been a gradual thing, but ever since i gained Operator, console, and took over for luigi, people have said i changed and 'became luigi'. i tested loki with some comments of mine on the forum and he thought that it was luigi. i guess i dont really know the point of this post.. do you think of me as a friend or purely an authority with no remorse? are you afraid of me? i don't want to sound big-headed, but i know i have some level of influence over what we do, but at the end of the day it's still down to luigi. im worried that some people have stopped viewing me as a friend, and now view me as the opped admin that can destroy you with a single click... and i don't like having that thought in my head. I became Moderator because i knew there were issues and i was determined to fix them. There was a point during my time as moderator where i said to myself "can i really change this server and make it better?" i had doubt in myself. i doubted that i'd ever get admin, and i doubted that luigi would ever listen to me. so i changed my staffing slightly, i did more of how luigi staffs and boom, now im here. staff for over a year and a half, ive been Owner, head admin, i've had console twice (yeah i still don't have that back yet), and i've been OP 3 times. i guess what my rambling is trying to say... Was i right to change my way of staffing? i mean it's great that i am now in the position that i am now, but has it make me distant from everyone? idek man, idk where i changed, but i know that i have. and im not sure what to make of it... --- Luigi, i love you as a friend, and i know that you are happy with how i staff, but my question to you is: is it because i act like you, speak like you, and enforce like you... or is it because you genuinely just like my staffing? I'm not entirely sure where you and i stand. to this day i've been staff for 1 year, 7 months and 2 days, and you've been her to witness it all. But with the recent events im not sure if i'm just an admin of your server, or if i am more than just an admin of your server... or maybe even a great friend of yours. I know you appreciate what i do and stuff, but that hastey demotion and the fact that we dont talk as much as i'd like... im not sure where i stand with you.. ----- anyways back the community. basic question: When you say "Chip", Do you think of good things like im your friend or do you think "He's the guy that i dont fuck with, he is the big guy" like loki has said... |

I think of you as a server leader and somebody who sets a good example. but being completely honest I didn't want to mess with you until I got to know you better, you seemed like the guy who would punish somebody for even the slightest of mistakes.I've gotten to know you better recently and now I see that you're actually pretty nice. So now I would say that I think of you as a friend as oppose to "the big scary admin". Keep up the good work! |

I personally think of you as an enforcer like a police officer for the server. I guess that's just because i never really got to know you as a friend rather than an authority figure. |

Chip,We may argue and disagree about some things, however there is one thing that stands out. I respect that you get stuff done and promote change, even if it is not my optimal outcome, or in the swiftest of fashions. I don't know how I would describe our relationship, I think of it as a professional, mutual-respect situation, but I guess that is for you to decide. |

I think that the reason a lot of players have a negative connotation with you, or like you being the big scary guy is because you are kind of the face of the staff. You administer a majority of the major punishments, and can usually always speak for the entire staff team when you want. I think that this is a really really important role and I'm glad that your the one filling it. I will be honest, I think your a great admin it's just sometimes the amount of influence you seem to have (because you speak for the whole staff team) can be a bit daunting. |

We used to be pretty good friends, and it was my fault that we lost that.I see the staff side of you too much, I think we should have fun Chip more often. I've been staff on a different server for about six months now, and I'm very rarely serious. What I'm saying is, be staff when you need to be. Enforce the rules, whatever, but when nothing's happening, have a little fun, don't be all serious. Also, when I think, "Chip," I picture a crusty piece of salty potato in a bag. |

About expressing opinions and talking I don't give a shitter, you know. And I do think of you as a friend yeah, we talk quite a bit about certain things, and I don't feel scared, I might also not feel scared cause I have the emotions of a rock too.You're almost as powerful as luigi, as you said you take some of the biggest decisions, like the manager, at school I'd rather talk to teachers with ease rather than head master, not that I'm scared, just feels better. People might think they only talk to you about the very important server decisions only. Much like a manager in real life, you won't go up on your manager in his office during work and tell him to watch this minecraft video do you? Same thing. |

thank you everyone for all the replies, it's helped me quite a lot.Dragon unfortunately i do attend college about 20 hours a week, and i work 27 hours a week. i also have things like the gym which i like to spend some time at. i used to be much more active but as i've grown up i've had to take on more responsibilities. my private life has also changed dramatically and i live in a much more restricted environment, which means i can rarely skype anyone. |

Screw it, im gonna write here anyways, since Zed did it.I feel like when you got the taste of the power of console, you changed, quite alot, and not in a good way. You've become way more strict, which is good in one way, more rule enforcing I guess, but on another hand, you are far from as laid back as you used to be. You seem less friendly. You talk less in chat, and respond less, aswell as being less on. I've tried to engage in conversation on a few occasions, but you did not seem interested. You attempt to turn people against me, as shown by the way you just voice your opinions loudly aswell as just blindly accuse me of stuff in front of other staff instead of taking it with me on pm. You also blow things way out of proportion in order to put me in a bad light. Just my two cents. It really is a shame it had to come to this. |

When I got console I saw how many times the staff, which I trusted wouldn't abuse gmc, did (keeping in mind that this was at the beginning of the map, so only OPs really had gmc) I saw you aswell as multiple other staff members enter gmc (once it was returned to the staff team) for no reason at all other than personal gain, by building using expensive or rare blocks. As well as this, you opped Eddie which concerned me because he quit staff... So why should he need staff permissions? That's where your "taste of console" came from; that's why I crawled up your ass and questioned you.Luigi gave me a lot of responsibility in one go (Owner). which I was willing to take on for the sake of the server's upkeep. That pressure caused me to always be on edge because i was seeing you and other admins do things that they shouldn't, and weren't particularly professional. I believe your comment saying I try to paint you in bad light is false, because it is only in the last day or so that I've said ANYTHING bad about you to anyone.... which was constantly giving away Creative and Fly to amber... I didn't allow the Owner power or whatever go to my head, i just saw staff do things which i didn't think they should be doing, so i corrected them. The community and some staff said that they liked me being Owner and didn't want luigi to take over again, so i accepted my demotion back to Admin and with-held my responsibility as Owner, even though i wasn't. i only did this because that was probably one of the only times that people said "Wow, chip is making a change and i like it!". so it's understandable for me to want to continue to do so. If someone messages me, i'll reply, im now constantly tired though. i can't skype anyone, and i can't play on my computer freely. sorry if you thought i was ignoring you or didnt want to talk. |

I felt some of your desicions were bad when I first joined the server, and I was a dick to you, but you're alright. You do a lot for the server that we don't see, so I guess that's pretty cool. I think because of timezones I can't give you an accurate opinion on your normal staffing. |
