Chip_Bruh	Date sent: 2017/06/08 19:36:43 Why do i still try? why do i still try, on a daily basis to help protect, assist, and promote a server which only makes me feel like shit? i no longer get enjoyment from joining the server. I now look at the server as mostly just a hate-filled community. What do we advertise our server as, luigi? don't we advertise ourselves as a welcoming community where we all get along and love each other? i'm going to have to call bullshit on that one. Since 2015 i have Welcomed all players into my arms, I've greeted them and treated them as well as i could. I've taken on the community hundreds of times and done what i believed was right. I remember when i was younger in my staffing days, i'd see a complaint on the forum and jump out my bed to help the player. Server down? well you can bet on chip to get it back up as soon as he could. remember all those times the server has gone to shit but then came back? i bet you always assumed it was Luigi, but who told Luigi about it all? I've been through some horrible times here, my future life has been threatened, and i've lost everything before; because of this server. Once, we lost all of our files because the server host moved us, and in the process they accidentally corrupt our files. luigi had no server left, there was literally nothing but a back-up that was a month old. luigi was just getting busy IRL and didn't have time for putting the server back together. So how is the server still here you ask? i poured my fucking heart out to luigi and pleaded for him to not give up. i asked him, "what will the community do? this is the server they come to for fun and to socialize", but more importantly then that, i told him just much this place meant to me. i told him how attached i was to this server, it's history, it's memories which i share here. i offered to be owner, i didnt care how much stress it might cause me, luigi even asked me if i was sure i could do it. in honesty, i wasn't sure if i could, but i instantly told him i could. why would i do that exactly? no, not because i wanted owner, but because i couldn't afford to see this server go down forever. I mentioned earlier that this server took everything from me, and i had to rebuild myself back up again. i had to rebuild my reputation. Since I've rebuilt this server I've only experienced more shit, more fuckery to put up with. And i really shouldn't have to put up with this shit. Luigi himself admitted he's surprised i'm still here after what I've been through and continue to go through. Luigi: After all this time, it's worn me down. I'm not as good as i used to be. This server has eroded away the edge which i used to have. It's not a matter of "chip is a shit staff member" because i'm not. it's a matter of "this community broke him". If this server doesn't improve then I'm afraid i need to leave. i am desperately trying to hold on, but i cant take this anymore. my life has been turned upside down since i joined. Things need to improve, next time anyone fucks with me on the forum or in-game, i'm going to banish you. for ages we have stuck to "they haven't directly broken a rule so we cant punish them" and i'm going to break that streak, because it has simply only caused me pain and allowed the server to continue to deteriorate and get even more toxic. From toxic people, more toxic people are stemmed.

I haven't been on the server for that long but I can already see that some members of the community are more disrespectful than others and some are just straight down rude. And I know that when you are working hard on something and people just talk shit to you and don't appreciate your work, well, it doesn't really give you the motivation to keep going. It's a shame that the server have come to this and I hope it improves. Becasue I would hate to see good people leave. Hope you stay with us Chip!

Chip_Bruh	Date sent: 2017/06/08 20:06:31 Myself and some other staff have changed rule 15 as we feel the replacement is much more important: "continued light toxic behavior results in a ban" we acknowledge that punishments from this rule are very subjective, so before punishments are performed, other staff must agree also. this is everyone's chance to redeem themselves. you wont be punished until you decide to be toxic again, and once you do you'll be punished for all your actions which we have now partially put behind us.

Heck, i quit and i'm still on the forums because i love the server too. But, I don't really think that this rule should go into effect. Not to make you mad or offend you in any way, I just don't think that this will help much. If we implement this rule, staff could easily abuse their rights. And many innocent players may leave/ get banned leading to a lower player amount. Idk what the solution is, but i'm not really sure if this is the answer. Again, I did not mean to offend you in any way and I truly hope that you stay with the server. You are one of the most mature trustworthy members of this community and without you, chaos would rule the server. Trust me, you are extremely respected and a very important member of this server. Please stay :)

Most people just think that it is a staff member's "job" to do what they do, and to an extent it is. But they are not here for any reason but that they care for the server and its players. This server is supposed to be a family: a place for love and support. I agree with what you say about the not breaking a rule idea. Rules should be vague enough that it gives the staff power to enforce it but specific enough to inform members of what they mean- but some things people just need to know as common sense.

I've seen my fair share of toxic players and myself have been a toxic player. Once staff has handled the general majority of toxic players then you should make your way back. But once the "bigger" toxic players start to "die off" the amount of toxic players may decrease. If not then there may be something else that is causing the toxicness? These are the main core rules of the server, as given in the underlying rules in /rules: be respectful, be ethical, use common sense, username changes are forbidden. I don't think we need rule 15 since that is just part of rule 3. As for username changes, I've said this many times, if you want to read more in depth about it, search for some of my other replies on the forums relating to it. Usernames are unique identifiers for players in our minds, so it only makes sense for them to be unique in practice as well, otherwise people get confused about who is who. Mojang were idiots for implementing username changes in the first place, but now that we have to deal with them, we can do our best to prevent them with this rule. A few years ago, I tried to undo them completely on the server. I tried to make the server always revert someone's username to the original one. Back then it was too complicated for me, however recently I've looked back into it and was now able to do it. It hasn't been implemented yet because of a few things, but if successful, there will be no need for the rule, since username changes will have absolutely no effect on the server. Even if you change your name, the server will still show your username as the old one.

But we can't change our usernames because otherwise we won't know "who is who"? I guarantee you 50% of usernames are changed to allow them to have a fresh start and as if recreating their account. Not allowing us to change usernames is denying that opportunity. So with this logic, are we not allowed to log onto alts because that will also confuse people about "who is who". Why do you want to restrict people from starting fresh? And from other experiences, username changes haven't been an issue regarding identity.

And I will admit that I have not always thought of you as the best mod/admin, but you're probably much better than I used to think, I think. It's been a long time since I have actually been active in this community, so I don't remember what my opinions of some people used to be for sure, and if I don't remember those opinions, then you must have not been all that bad. But, no matter what I think or used to think, you have definitely always been an important part of this server and community, that is for sure. Again, I don't blame you for not liking this community anymore. I mean, I'm ok with the community, since I mostly kept to myself and didn't involve myself in any of the drama, but it's understandable with how much drama there has been before. On of the reasons I'm not very active on here is becuase of how poorly Luigi used to run the server, and may still run the server poorly(I wouldn''t know since I'm not on much).
