I've heard that many players have been talking about me as staff, so I've decided to make a post about it.First off, I'll get what I'm annoyed with out of the way. If you're gonna talk about me, then say it to me directly. Everything you guys say about me eventually comes back and I hear about it. If you're worried about me getting offended, it's actually much more hurtful to hear that you're talking about me behind my back. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'll explain my staffing. I am a very sarcastic person and most of the things I say are jokes. However, I'm quick to clear it up and say that I was joking. One of the other things I heard people talking about was my not bring serious enough on the forums and in-game, or being immature. I don't see staff as a job. I only see the need to be professional when someone has a genuine issue. I remember when I was a donator, I found it very hard to connect personally with staff. It was like they were too serious. I don't want people to feel that way about me. I want to be casual yet serious when I need to and although that may come across as unprofessional, which it is, I don't see the need to be professional either. I want to connect with people personally, not proffesionally. If there are any genuine suggestions that you have that I can improve on I'd be willing to take them into consideration- I won't get angry, I won't be annoyed. I want real feedback on how I staff. Most of the complaints ive gotten are from other staff members, not the actual players I'm staffing. I feel like my way of staffing is much more friendly but I'd like to know what the community thinks. |
