/butcher is a command used to kill all passive entities within loaded chunks of the world. Recently, an admin used the command to rid his house of chickens. All of the animals around me died. I had so many pets, and had put many hours into breeding horses and donkeys. My only surviving pets were my dogs, who are not passive. My horses and donkeys were replaced by cheap, Chinese knock-offs of the original. The person replacing them felt spawning the right ones would take too long (as if it could match the time I spent on it). Also, my tuxedo cat was replaced by an ugly orange tabby. I still suffer the consequences of the admin's genocide, and they feel fixing it isn't worth their time. My suggestion is to completely remove /butcher from everybody altogether. It's lazy and dangerous. |

‘/butcher’ is a command provided with the plugin WorldEdit, which this server does not have installed. The admin you were talking about probably used the ‘/killall’ command forgetting other players have animals too. |

To add: a command cannot be simply “removed”. Some admins have OP (Operator Permissions) and thus they have access to all commands. |

CK did /butcher, thinking it would show the usage. I believe he has formally apologised for his mistake and is willing to reverse any issues. However i do not think that /butcher should be removed altogether, it is extremely useful for preventing entity lag.
I think you should recheck your facts larsy xD you do this a lot babes xx |

Update: I wasn't gonna use names but Chip spoiled it. The admin (ckvoss) never ended up reversing the issue as Chip stated he would, and I still want my brown pinto 26-health mountain race horses back. |
