I lied.
So did the internet.
Getting regular sunburns doesn't give you cancer.
Reading articles on the internet does.
EDIT: Ignore this, I'd been drinking when I wrote this and I thought I was being funny. Please do not take this offensively as if I'm being insensitive, for I too have lost loved ones to cancer. |

Doesn't give you cancer but increases the chances. More exposure to UV radiation, increases the chances the of genetic material being damaged, which if damaged enough because of the over exposure, can make your cells to grow way out of control, which has potential to lead to cancer.
I don't even know why I've bothered writing this.
I am probably wrong too. |

"Your risk of getting skin cancer doubles if you've had 5 or more sunburns in your life." Article: https://www.verywell.com/all-about-skin-cancer-1069522 Of course that's only 1 article of millions scattered across the internet.
Cancer is a killer and takes too many lives young and old. Get it seen to early and you may be lucky enough to keep on living, Brush off the symptoms and your family will be visiting your graveside.
Of course skin cancer is only 1 of many types of cancer. Go for your checkups, listen to your body, if anything is abnormal, ask your doctor or family planning to investigate it further. Cancers that used to be mainly found in the old are now taking so many young lives. |
