At the moment, tax is pointless. It goes into a server account which is pretty much like just burning money. However, i think tax is a good idea if it's executed right. Although this idea is not at all realistic to the real world, i think it would be perfect for the server.The first part of this change would be taxing the sellers instead of buyers. This means that the tax system doesn't have any real consequences for the majority of the server. The second part of the change is to charge lower tax amounts on higher priced items, and higher tax amounts on lower priced items. This encourages and almost entirely ensures that the economy ISNT ruined, unlike previous worlds, where once-expensive items are devalued. If shop owners want to sell items for cheaper than they should be, this would introduce a consequence to that, without harming the buyer who ultimately has no input in that. ok i'm smart just fixed the server bye |

+ Tax should be displayed on shop signs automatically. Rightnow whenever you shop, especially for new players unaware of the tax system, it's a surprise to see how much you are taxed, and most of the time you end up spending more than you intended. |

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response, were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul -1 fr tho what you're suggesting is a price floor with extra steps. Nonetheless, sales tax without return is a really bad idea altogether |

The current tax system adds a 20% sales tax to the commanded price of any item put up for sale, and the total cost is the advertised price on the sign and in /buy. The entire payment (cost + tax) goes to the shop owner, and I dont know if serveraccount is still absorbing money. The tax system is fairly useless and needs to go I agree, but it is definitely much easier to understand than before. |
