Hey guys, it's come to my attention that more and more people are joining the server and have no idea what to do. I have decided to make a small guide to help people get started off. This guide is for people with basic knowledge of minecraft, but no knowledge of the server. It is also good to recap on some of this stuff. --------------- The Basics --------------- Ranks Now the first thing you will notice on the server is everyone has different ranks. The most common one and easiest to get is Citizen, to obtain this all you need to do is read the rules of the server at /Spawn and tell a staff member. They will promote you when they get a chance. The other ranks consist of Loyalty, Donor and Staff ranks. These categories should be fairly self-explanatory on how you get them. Loyalty ranks are mainly there to show that you are a trusted and respected member of the community. Then again I would like to think we are all trusted and respected. This consists of Citizen+ and Member. Donor ranks are obtained by paying an amount of money to the server owner to help support the server and keep it running. These ranks are permanent and give you special perks. To donate check out this page http://webbcraft.co.uk/donate.html for more information. Please remember donating does not make you immune to bans. This consists of VIP, VIP+, Builder, Donator and Donator+. Staff ranks are only granted by the owner of the server and can only be applied for. They here to look after the server and help players, but not be your slave so try be respectful. To apply for a staff position you may apply at http://webbcraft.co.uk/forum/list_topics.php?parent=1. This consists of Helper, Trial-Mod, Mod, Admin and the Glorious Owner. Rules Follow these and you will be all right. Normal Rules 1. No Griefing. No breaking land that you think would be someone else's, or causing harassment to anyone. 2. No Hacking. No x-rays or modded clients that give unfair advantages over other players. With that in mind minimap mods are undetectable. 3 and 4. Be nice and Don't be Abusive. Treat everyone fairly and don't be rude to people, it spoils the game. 5. Don't ask for ranks. I have already explained fully how you obtain the ranks you want. 6 and 7. Do not ask for or give away spawned items. This ruins the economy and surprisingly makes a game much less fun. 8, 9 and 10. Don't spam, excessively kill or excessively swear. This will cause discomfort in the chat and to other players. Give people a breather once in a while. 11. Do not advertise other servers. This is obvious how it is bad, you will be permanently banned. Donor Rules 1. Do not abuse commands. This can be teleporting to players and killing them, or using kick inappropriately. Use your head for this one. 2. Do not give out spawned items. This will ruin the economy as explained earlier. Also do not sell the items, it counts as the same thing. 3. Do not PvP in creative. You are immune, they are not. This is considered a highly abusive thing to do. 4. Do not spawn massive amounts of entities. This will cause server lag, and that is a bad thing. Trust me on that one. 6. Do not create or use overpowered items. Can you make it in survival? No? Then don't make it. 7. Do not impersonate staff. You are not staff, if you want to be staff you should apply and see what everyone else thinks. 8. Do not use abilities for other's benefits. It may be helpful, but this is another way to spoil the economy or gameplay for other people. Staff Rules 1. Do not abuse commands. This is obvious and can be tempting, but don't do it. You need to keep your cool. 2. Do not give out ranks. The only exception here is Citizen, but all the other ranks need to be confirmed by the Owner first. 3. Do not disband permanent factions. They have clearly been approved by the Owner or one of the Admins to become permanent, so for now they will stay. 4. Do not accuse without evidence. If someone says something about people, they may not always tell the truth. Get screenshots or see it yourself before doing something. 5. Do not give out items or creative. This will obviously ruin the economy as discussed before. 6. Do not give out nicknames. They may be pretty, but please let people do them themselves. You may however remove dirty nicknames. Land and Homes Just a little bit of explaining before I get into factions about how to find land easily. Getting to land where you can build is fairly simple, however finding the land you want the most can be rather difficult. First off you should try visiting /Warp Wild or /Warp Wilderness as these are usually updated regularly. After than you should grab yourself a small amount of supplies, such as a boat or some food. Finding animals around usually isn't too difficult. You may also ask around to see if people would be willing to /tpa you to them and you can start travelling from where they are. When you do find the perfect place to settle don't forget to do /sethome so you can always get back home with the /home command. |

This segment is about Factions.----------- Factions ------------ Joining Finding and joining a faction is pretty simple. Simply ask chat for who has an open faction or who wants to invite you. Wait to become invited to a faction or join an open faction. Then you can do the command /f join [name] it can be either the faction name, or someone in the faction. There you go, you have successfully join a faction. Making a faction To make a faction you simply do /f create [name]. try to make a catchy name or something related to you. Then to customise the description do /f desc [description] and you will create the message people will see when entering your land. To invite friends to the faction do the command /f invite [name] or you can open (and close) the faction with the command /f open. Claiming Land To claim land and protect it from other people all you need to do is make sure you have enough power. To check your power do /f power and to check your faction do /f show. Doing /f show also allows you to see who is in your faction, how much power you have overall and how much land you have claimed. It also displays Allies and Enemies when you make them. (That will be explained later) Now to claim land you can do /f claim to claim that one chunk or /f claim [name] [radius] to claim the chunk you are in and the surrounding ones. With admin commands it allows you to claim for other people, but you most likely will only be able to claim for your own faction. Keep in mind that claiming 1 chunk uses 1 power. Power is gained over time and is lost to non-PvP deaths of each faction member. Per person you have a maximum of 10 power and a minimum of -10 power. Extra power can be granted by an admin for certain reasons that are deemed necessary. This will be displayed in /f show. Claiming land can be done with faction Mods and the faction Admin. You may also set a faction home with /f sethome and anyone in the faction can use it by doing /f home to teleport there. Other Details Allies and Enemies Allies and Enemies can be made all the time. It takes 2 to make an ally, but one one to make an enemy. The commands are /f ally [name] and /f enemy [name] respectively. Being Allied to someone grants no additional perks other than a change in chat colour and access to talk to them using the Ally Chat. Being Enemies to a faction allows you to attack them on their land, and vise versa them on your land. An additional note: raiding is forbidden on our server as it counts as grieving. Faction Mods and the Faction Admin A faction mod can be made by a faction admin by the command /f mod [name]. The faction admin is essentially the owner and is limited to 1 per faction, to give over ownership do /f admin [name], this will demote the previous admin to a mod in the faction. Faction and Ally Chat This is a separate chat that only the people applicable are able to see. Only your faction can see faction chat and is accessed with /f c f and the Ally chat is seen by YOUR allies with /f c a. Please remember it may look funny to people if you talk in ally chat to someone from another faction and a third faction isn't allied to that second faction... Complicated stuff. In order to return back to public chat simply do /f c p. All chats are also reachable by doing /f c which allows you to toggle though them. |

This segment is about Chest Protections.------- LWC ------- Worried about stuff being stolen? Don't worry your stuff is safe with us. All blocks with storage are automatically locked to you and only you. This stops people stealing from them. If you need to lock and unlock stuff simply do the commands /lock and /unlock respectively. However unlocking stuff will allow everyone to use them and break them. To make things publicly accessible, but only you break and change them you do /cpublic and if you change your mind do /cprivate. The great thing with this plugin is you also have the ability to add your friends to it. To allow your friends to use things do /cmodify [name] or if you trust them enough so that they can also edit stuff like you do /cmodify @[name]. You can also place stuff outside of faction protected land and no one can break them when you lock it. This can be handy when placing temporary chests when exploring places you will come back to. Another handy thing you can do is with doors you can add a few useful protections on them. Password locks: /cpassword [password] to create a password for objects, works most effectively on doors. Redstone Immunity: /lwc flag redstone on this will block the doors from being opened with redstone. Autoclosing Doors: /lwc flag autoclose on this will close doors after 3 seconds of being left open. Disclaimer Not all objects can be locked with LWC. Always check the label because I can't read. |

This segment is about Currency--------------------------------- Chest Shops and Money --------------------------------- Chest Shops Chest shops are shops created by players to sell objects in the selected chests. This can always be great for people to get objects they find difficult to find normally. Do be warned some prices may be quite high, but it's down to if you are willing to pay. In order to make a chest shop all you need is a storage device (more commonly chest or trapped chest) and a sign. Simply place the storage device down and place a sign either on it, or the space above it. What you put on the sign will be demonstrated on the image below. ![]() You can get rid of S or B respectively. S means you will buy the item and be placed into the storage. B means you will be selling that item from the storage device. Please note that only you can access the storage device. If the storage device is in another faction's land you can simply right click the sign. It will open the storage device rather than activating the sign as you are the owner. Money and Shops In order to check your balance do /bal or /money and it should display what you have. To buy or sell items to the shops right click the signs you want. If it is a buy-sell chest shop hold the item in your hand and right click to sell, otherwise you will be buying the items from the chest shop. You may also go to /Warp Shop to sue the server shop to buy and sell items. However these items can be very high to buy and very low to sell. In order to get money besides shops you can do /vote for a maximum of £500 daily or receive money from other players via the /pay [name] [amount] command. Reminder Do not sell spawned items, you will most likely get caught if you cannot show a reasonable source for the items. I hope this guide helped you, I spent a few hours to get all the information needed for new players out of my thick skull. If you need any more help please message me either on the forums or in game. If this guide is successful I may do a more advanced guide in the future for some more tricky stuff... Yeah I'm dreading it too. -KGEvans, MushroomCo's most awesome noob |

I am aware of that, that's why I show people the link every so often. Also it is easy to take a quick reference from here to say in game.I also designed this to be for regulars who just need a quick reminder every so often. |
