Your gender: I am a female, my pronouns are she/her. Have you been banned on any other servers? No, I have a clean punishment history on every other server I’ve played. Why do you think you should be a moderator? As someone who has been playing Mush for the past five years, give or take, I believe I would make a good candidate to be a mod! Here’s why: I understand how the server works well. Over the years, I've become very familiar with mush, getting to know the rules, permissions, and plugins well. I’d like to think that I’ve made my roots in the server, establishing many shops, being part of large factions, making a wide range of people who I consider my friends within the server being my proudest accomplishment. I absolutely adore the community here, how tight-knit yet accepting it is, how giving the people are, and how well it is managed. Of course, like any server, Mush does get its fair share of drama however that is considerably less compared to any other server I’ve played. The current moderation team is consistently active, responsive, and fair. This is a team I’d like to be a part of. Personally, as do most people, I’ve looked up to the staff team here for my entire time on the server. The first person I spoke to was an admin, shoutout Ellie, and since then I’ve seen them as someone to be trusted. I wish to be someone that people feel they can go to with issues within the server, whether it be requesting help on projects, materials, help with confrontation, or assistance with other situations. No matter the context, I’d like to be someone available to help. This brings me to my next point, Dedication to the server. I’ve been on the server for five years, and no matter how many breaks I’ve taken I’ve come back every time. I feel as though Mush is a space to unwind, just build silly buildings and chat to friends. Though I’ve definitely had my fair share of sour moments within the server, I have always felt this way. I am forever grateful to my closest friends, who have stuck with me through my most immature times. Considering that I was twelve when I joined the server, I do think of myself as someone who has matured greatly since then. Of course, as many of you know, I am not a serious person most of the time. I think it’s important to keep a light demeanour, while still keeping in mind when jokes are appropriate. This however does NOT mean I lack the capability to take responsibilities seriously. I believe that every person should be treated equally, my actions showing fairness and transparency, none of that sneaking around business. Sharing thoughts on a situation within a team, such as the staff team, is vital to keep all decisions fair and just. I promise to continue to be loyal to Mush, the staff team, and playerbase. While Mush can certainly have its lower-activity moments, I believe it is a thriving and well run community of people who share the same hobby of playing Minecraft. Trust is important when considering a member for a staff position, and I do believe I have earned it. While this may have been lost a long time ago, I have spent about seven or eight months growing back my roots within the server. I’ve mended many friendships in this time, and I hope I’ve restored the image of myself that I’d like to project. I wish to be a friend to people, and not someone that seems mean or unapproachable. I answer every discord DM I receive, and I am consistently online discord and the server itself. If I was to be given the moderator position, I would maintain this to my utmost ability - that’s a promise. A great skill of anyone in some sort of power position is communication. It’s the key to successful moderation, and I believe I have strong communication skills. I am able to clearly get my point across, while keeping my cool and seeing all situations I am challenged with from both sides. I never want anyone to feel unheard or ignored, and so I always try my very hardest to gauge other’s points of view, on anything. That makes a good community member, which I can confidently say I am! On the topic of the community, I would like to mention how important building the community is, and keeping it an inclusive atmosphere. No matter if the task is greeting new players, helping them out, initiating conversations with others, or a physical task in-game, I am up for it. I am willing to take on whatever curveballs you will throw at me, and take them in my stride. I’d love to help organise events, taking the most recent anniversary event for example. I believe an event like that is very important to the server, bumping the activity in general alongside reuniting old friends who’ve met through the server. Creating ideas for events is no problem for me, as well as respectfully celebrating holidays! I greatly enjoyed the recent easter egg hunt, and I can see how much time and effort goes into all of the projects within the server. I wish to dedicate this same effort into helping the community out. How long can you be active on the server every day? While I have outside responsibilities I am dedicated to, I can be online for upwards of four hours daily. Often, I do this. My timezone is BST, and my sleep schedule is a little wonky. I am typically online from the evening to early morning, though I am always available on discord if needed. I respond to every DM and ping I get, making myself available to whoever could need help! What country do you live in? I live in England, my timezone is BST. How long have you been on the server? I have been active on the server from 2019, excluding my break in 2023.
