I log on the forums to find a poll to find out if there will be a map re-set.I of course voted no, but why should we? Just cause there is grief? Roll it back! We have all worked hard and we don't wanna see it all go to waste. We have all come together to create such amazing builds and we want to keep them! Vote NO against the map reset! It is dreadful that it is even being considered. |

It is not dreadful.. Every map has lasted 9 months, as has this one! 4 groups of people have had to go through a map reset, and they have lost all of their builds! Why is it being considered? Not because of greif, as you stated, it can jusf be rolled back! We are considering it as you have to travel hundreds of thousands of blocks away from spawn to find about 4 good chunks of land. Anyway, I voted yes that we SHOULD have a map reset, because Im readyfor a fresh start. Anyway, if you want to keep your builds, luigi usually copies and pastes them to the new map. Last map I had a huge city with about 8 skyscrapers, etc. I had to lose it! Arent you ready for a map reset? I am. |

Its not a complaint I am trying to get people to vote NO.Also I doubt Luigi can copy and paste builds without worldedit. |

@ Wowman2002 There are multiple ways to copy and paste builds, and world edit also doesn't allow you to move stuff around with the server being offline. I am personally able to move selected areas (chunks or defined regions) to a new area, or make schematic files for them if I obtain the world files. If I was to do this, I would need luigi to approve of this and send me the old map file and the new map file. On an off note, I can also regenerate land and repopulate land with animals if requested. This is done using the seed. |

The problem is the map file has an enormous file size (~24GB) caused by donators who abuse /tp and teleport to coordinates that are excessively far away, then fly around generating new terrain that will never be used by anybody. I try to keep the file size down by periodically going into the region folder of the map and deleting regions with high numbered coordinates that haven't been accessed in a while, which is why people shouldn't build around over 30k blocks from spawn. |

The map reset is a great idea! It will give people a fresh start, reset the ravaged spawn area and cut down on inactivity. If you want your place/town transferred, then just request it! No need to go around posting multiple posts on the same topic. Problem solved! |
