I would like Luigi to answer this if possible as he is the one who approved the architect rank and should know the answers.
I don't mind architect being used for building for just the benefit of the architect as it was intended, but a few scenarios have come about and I know I am not alone in not knowing if this is allowed or not allowed, even the architects appear unsure of what they are allowed to do as the rules seem a little vague, we all need a bit of clarification.
Following scenarios where Person A has GMC and person B is just a citizen, are these allowed or not allowed?
1st - Person A gives B gmc items so B can build a house, redstone item or farm for person A ( as A is either a crappy builder or doesn't know how to build a particular item and needs B's help). B does not keep any gmc items.
2nd - Person A builds a house with GMC items and then gives house to person B to own. (this could cover a single house or a house within a communial faction area.
3rd - Person A builds auto farms or spawner farms which the whole faction uses the drops from even people who don't have gmc
4th - Person A creates farms and or spawner farms in gmc then sells those drops in a shop
5th - Staff member gives person B GMC mode so they can help build a private project (not for server benefit)
These scenarios have been brought up in chat in the last couple of weeks but no one seems to know the answer. I am sure there is more but that's all I could remember. Whether they actually happened or not I don't know I just remember them being discussed. |

The occasions where one can and cannot use GMC have become rather sketchy, but the fifth one and the third one should definitely be allowed, as Ive performed the fifth one in the role of person B, and the third one has always been a thing, since long before GMC was removed from donator+ rank. |

In my opinion...
1st - As long as person B receives no payment, or payment earned in survival.
2nd - For the sake of general whatever, I would say no. Cause it does fall under benefiting others with creative items.
3rd - Not allowed at all. Directly breaks donor rules.
4th - Maybe, assuming prices are set by staff and not the seller, otherwise no.
5th - Not allowed at all. Why? Because we now have architects who are supposed to be capable of building, and staff can ask for their help if they really need it.
Again these are my opinions based on my interpretation of the rules, and being present for a few of these situations, I think I have a general feel for the problems themselves. |

This is what I think:
1. Generally not allowed, only in some cases with prior permission from a staff member. It depends on whether person B is trustworthy enough to not keep gmc items for themselves.
2. Allowed as long as the building is not dismantled for items.
3. Not allowed
4. Not allowed, though what ace said is correct, if the prices are not too low, it wouldn't really be an issue. Prices should certainly be higher than shops selling the items obtained legitimately.
5. Generally not allowed. |
