Inside this book, Steve gave a story which lead up to Ellie's reasoning to leave. (she didn't leave just because of this though, ill talk more about that later). Basically the server got fucked off at Ellie because she banned someone that griefed with a wither. i dont need to go into detail because pretty much everyone knows what happened. don't bother defending yourselves in the comments by explaining the situation. i know the situation. Here's the reasons from the community that i know of: -- "There is no rule against spawning a wither in the wilderness" Actually editing any land which you do not own is grief, (rule 1). But i'm pretty sure that Isn't the reason she banned him so the argument is invalid. -- "It was a wither that did the grief, not Presinus" Spawning a hostile mob that is known to destroy blocks... hmmm, what are the possible outcomes? Are you fucking serious? Thats like saying, "It wasnt me that blew up luigi's house, it was the tnt!" full of shit.. aren't you? -- "The damage from the wither was minimal and rolled back quickly" The damage was over 1000 blocks, that is not minimal. also by that logic why do we ban anyone for grief? or theft? or spam? or pvp bypass? all of that can be fixed, so what's the difference? by this logic we should remove all the rules and let the players run riot. idiots. -- "Ellie did not have evidence that is was Presinus that spawned the wither, she only had his word" In order for a staff member to punish, they need either proof or an admission. Ellie did her job perfectly here, she waited to punish until she had either-or. -- "Presinus was encouraged by the community to spawn it in" Soo... you're saying this now means he cant be punished? he did it. no questions. you dont kill someone if ur m8 says so, do you? -- "his intent was to release Eidahn, not to grief" He should not have been so foolish to spawn a wither which is hard to kill and will destroy anything in it's path. instead he should have been mature and made a complaint. just because he wanted to release Eidahn it doesn't mean he has to endanger a historical part of the server. -- "presinus was sorry, and willing to take punishment for his actions" this is possibly the only legit reason in this book. Ellie has been going through some seriously tough shit lately, and i would not wish her pain onto my worst enemy. i was close to ellie a while back and i can relate so damn well with what she goes through every day. i'm not going to dwelve into her issues because that's personal. She has enough on her plate without you kids making her feel like shit over a damn jail. what's the big deal anyways? it's just a jail. Just a jail has now caused the staff team to lose a great member of not only the team, but the player base and community. Ellie did a lot for this place, just like any other moderator or admin. Without people like Ellie, the server wouldn't be here. In-fact, multiple times Ellie has been the only mod online; and she's worked her ass off to keep the community happy. I dont often say this but i feel it's needed right now. There are good players dont get me wrong, some players are bloody lovely. but this community shows just how rotten it is more times than not. im sick of the community / players saying the staff are shit and abusive. some people fuck up, so deal with it. i'd genuinely love to see the complaining, whiny players, do a better job. in conclusion; ellie did fuck all wrong and she has her own shit to deal with IRL without you all shitting on her. "ellie is over-reacting, it's just a game" if it's just a game, why make such a fuss over her not doing what you wanted ffs.

We criticized her actions around that issue because a lot of people thought that perm ban was wrong. The problem here is that a lot of people spoke out about the issue at once which makes her think we personally hate her I guess, and I think I can speak for everyone who was there that we do not hate her, we only disagreed with her actions. It's not our fault she takes it too personal.

She received a lot of hate because of her rank and age combined, yet she still fought through it. Everyone takes things personally after a while, because when people continue throwing punches, eventually something will break. I think that's just what happened to Ellie. She got punched down so damn much she collapsed. She is only young, and considering how hard she worked to help this community, I think it was unfair how she was treated. Even the older players of this server take things too far and act too immaturely for the server's good. Ellie was a good player and friend, and she will be dearly missed... You have earned a decent amount of respect back Chip. This was a nice thing for you to do.

I am not doubting that Presinus has a mental condition, and yes, they are things that should be taken seriously, however, he could have been told beforehand by other players that it was against the rules. Do you think he set up CCTV everywhere like they did in the HungerGames before he gave them food? No. He didn't. You do not always need to be there to address an issue. Have you ever heard of parents? Now do tell me, how often are parents there when you fight with a sibling? I know that they are there rarely when I fight with my brother, yet they still try and sort things out. Also, I wasn't directly shitting on you, I tend to use a toilet for those matters - it's not my fault if you live in the sewers. Ellie banning people when they break the rules (especially if she is on her own with no one to consult with) is what staff are meant to do, and if they later disagree with the length of a ban, they can reduce it. Ellie was just doing what she thought was right at the time. And as you said Matt, human beings are generally more wrong than right, and for that reason, you can't throw shit at Ellie for doing something that is somewhat right. Not being funny, but if someone were to ban me for, idk, some sort of hack, allowing me to bypass chests without Admin/Mod (I can't remember the rank) and steal items, saying that technically it was a command and therefore not against the rules (obviously I wouldn't but theoretically speaking), I am sure as hell no one would consider what mental conditions I suffer from, because not everyone wants to publicise their personal life with random people on the internet. Also, please show where I said that you took the Presinus' ban personally, because after reading through it briefly, I can't find where I said that or where I referred to how you took it... It might sound biased because im obviously young but age is just a number- it's no reason to insult someone or make them feel left out. You are lucky you got such a tiny punishment. Like I said above, there is absolutely no need to come on a game that people go to for fun and hate on others. It's pretty clear you dislike the staff, and most of the players so why haven't you left yet? If you have a genuine sugegstion that the stuff could improve on I'm sure we'd be willing to accept it.
