The first thing you need to understand about these forums is this: Staff doesn't give a fuck about your +1's, -1's, etc. (edit: apparently you guys dont understand hyperbole, I'm aware that staff do look at votes but its not as big of a part of their decisions as you think...Fuck I thought I didnt have to say this, rip) But that is not to say your opinions don't matter. I think I speak for many of us, including or even especially those of you in the upper echelons of staff, when I say "I'm sick of seeing people voting negatively out of vendettas, spite, or general douchebaggery" The whole point of this forum is to promote the growth of this server, and we can't do that without insightful commentary about applications, appeals, etc. __________________________________________ fo·rum ˈfôrəm noun plural noun: forums 1. a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. __________________________________________ This isn't a voting booth. Make your voice be heard. Don't even reply to something unless you have something useful to add. Staff isn't perfect, sometimes they won't think of something that you have, and it may very well be the deciding factor in the success of someone's post. |

It's true we don't go look at a player's application/appeal/suggestion and tally up the the votes, they're really just used as a tl;dr for a player's opinion on the matter.Players who write a reason for their vote are far more helpful in deciding if something/someone should be accepted, so I encourage players to not just say "+1" or "-1" and nothing else. If that's all you put you're really just saying which side you're on. |
