why have we always been saying abstain as a type of vote. abstain means to not vote. we should probably either say abstain and don’t turn it into a vote or say +0 or something
i blame that evan guy with the drug problems from like 2014, he kinda started saying abstain |

Maybe people should just not write a reply instead of giving an abstain. Also another thing with the votes is supporting -1 and +1 because that way people will know what to improve. |

The only times and reasons I give abstains are when I give someone criticism or ways to improve with their mod app. I think of it kinda like a gas station. You don't walk in and use the bathroom then leave, that's rude. You buy something right? Same with the mod apps, you don't talk and not vote, that's just weird. Anyways abstains should be removed, as you're pretty much saying "You want mod? idk what I think about that." That gives no help at all, and people can't improve on a "not sure." |

+0.42, I think it's good but it's bad, but it's ok. |

I use abstains fairly often, mostly on posts where I want to give my opinion but don't really want to take a side, or if I don't think I know enough about the subject to vote on it. |
