So I was looking at a reddit post on r/whowouldwin today, and I found a very peculiar post...Mosquito vs. The US The Mosquito can fly at 5 mph, has a maximum altitude of 50 feet above any given surface, and is out to bite everyone. People who are bitten instantaneously die without any warning. The Mosquito wins when it can reduce the amount of people living in the United States to 500. To get from location to location, the Mosquito can teleport, but this would cause extreme fatigue, and prevent it from doing anything for 1 hour. The sickness spread from the Mosquito will cause every living organism within 5 meters of the infected individual to also die. The Mosquito has resistance to dry and cold weather, although it would still prefer to stay out of it. The United States wins if it can either kill the mosquito, or if it can survive for 1,000 years. It has everything in its arsenal, including nuclear weapons, biological weapons, and scientists. The United States does not know where the Mosquito starts, but it is aware of the existence of it. The United States and the Mosquito are both confined within the borders of the US. This includes the Gulf of Mexico. The Mosquito initially appears in Dallas, Texas, during an 89 degree Summer Afternoon. Both sides get 24 hours of preparation before they can do anything. The Mosquito has the equivalent intelligence of a normal human. |

I'm sticking with my answer from the discord, I think at least ONE person who it landed on would be fast enough to swat it before it bit them. Down where I live they're so common I swat them without even thinking about it, it's just a feeling that you come to know. |
