To change time and weather, you need the whole server's approval. Let's say Tim had Joe ignored, and Tim says anyone oppose night? Joe opposes, but Tim doesn't know, because Tim has Joe ignored. Tim changes the time to night, and now Joe is upset.

There's not really a way to "fix" this, but it isn't a major problem. In the rare cases where this situation occurs it would be resolved very easily.
Player 1: "Anyone oppose day?"
*7 second pause*
*Player 1 changes it to day*
Player 2: "Who changed it to day? I was using the night"
Player 3: "Player 1 asked if anybody opposed"
Player 2: "Oh I have them ignored"
*Time gets set back to night* |

1. Most people say "too bad it's night now"
2. Even when time is set back to what it was, it's often overcompensated, and someone gets upset.
Scene:
It's the middle of the night
Player 1 (with player 2 ignored): Anyone oppose day?
Player 2: Yes, I oppose day.
Player 1: *makes it morning*
Player 3: Hey man, Player 2 said no to setting it to day.
Player 1: Oh sorry I'll make it night again.
Player 1: *Makes it the beginning of night*
Player 4: wtf it was midnight and now you made it early dusk. i dont wanna sit in my dirt shelter hiding from monsters longer than i have to
*Problem never gets solved*
3. By "fix," I mean get rid of it. Having a command to interrupt communication on a community server is just plain retarded. |

Proper use of broadcast is to address everyone on the server; not to address 1 person. Using broadcast to address 1 person would be abuse of the command. |
