Now I know I've been making a lot of posts recently but I found these things called data packs and I thought they were interestingSo in the 1.13 update, the game introduced data packs which are basically mods but there isn't any code modification to do so. I found some that I believe would be super beneficial for the server to have in hand so here they are. 1. Multiplayer sleeping (Following text was stolen from the Datapack's overview page) This data pack will add to the game the ability to skip the night, if for example sleeping only 1 player, or for example only if sleeping 50% of the server online (this can be edited in the configuration of a data pack), well as the ability to distinguish players from AFK players. (Credit: Curseforge: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/multiplayer-sleep) 2. Back to Blocks This is pretty simple to explain it basically allows you to convert your stairs or slabs back to blocks so for example if I had wooden slabs but needed wooded blocks I would put the slabs in the crafting table and it would be able to revert back to the block (Credit: Xisumavoid:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sKGU3Y0bYA) 3. Player Graves This data pack makes it where whenever you die your stuff is immediately put into a grave that only you can access in. You get your items back by shifting for a few seconds. This allows you to have armor stands do funny and cool poses while wearing armor or holding blocks. (Credit: Xisumavoid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfcwKXhjC9Y) So those are the data packs that I found that I believe would be beneficial for the server. If you find anymore please tell me also credit to Xisumavoid for posting videos on these along with having a website that has download links for all of these.(https://xisumavoid.com/vanillatweaks/) |

Good idea would definitely expand the game while keeping it “vanilla” and they seem to work well |

how would multiplayer sleeping and player graves be too op?player graves would allow players to recover all their stuff while multiplayer sleeping allows a certain number of players to sleep which then turns it to day |

well multiplayer sleeping, makes it so that one person sleeps for it to become day. this would be unfair for others, plus there is almost always someone online with /day/ and graves, i guess wouldnt be op unless we are talking about of someone died in the void or in lava, which in that case would be op because u dont lose the items from that. |

You can adjust how many players need to sleep in order for it to be day so staff could adjust it to 10 players or so |

-1, we already have most of these or don't have them for specific reasons. For #1, we already have a good multiplayer sleeping system, if everyone below the rank of Member sleeps, it turns to day, and when there's too many people on for that we have Donators that can poll the chat to change the time. #2 would be a bit too non-vanilla in my opinion, since it adds new crafting recipes, but it could be nice for those times when you accidentally craft too many of one block. #3 This one is completely unnecessary, we already have /back which is OP enough for getting items back, at the moment the only way you can lose items is if you die via lava, void, or explosions in some cases. If we wanted items to be completely safe from EVER being lost, we could simply enable KeepInventory. #4 We've actually just added something similar, you can now purchase custom armor stands from OPs on the server, just like you can buy player heads! After reviewing all of them, I'd say if we really needed to get one it would be #2, but that's up to Luigi to install. |
