Why we should have this plug inI think that there should be a plug in to stop GMC items being sold in Architects’shops. One of the reasons Architects have to sell items 30% over the average price is to stop GMC items from entering the economy. If we added a plug in there’d be no need to worry about GMC items entering the economy through Architects’ shops. This would be beneficial for the whole server. How to add in this plug in This plug in wouldn’t be too hard to add in. It would be a bit like adding the lock plug in to chests but a bit more complicated. You could search the internet for more tips on how to do this. I think that this plug in would be beneficial for not just players without GMC but for Architects as well. If an Architect brings in blocks to build with from GMC and forgets whether they’re genuine blocks or not and tries to sell them it would save them from trouble as well. This plug in would be fairly simple to add and should be added to the server! |

It's called a plugin, not a plug in. I bet it'd be real hard to program |

It shouldn't be too difficult. If Luigi can add in the lock plugin for chests then a plug in to stop GMC items from being sold shouldn't be too much harder. |

So what, architects who also play survival and want to sell items just cant? You cant detect whether something is GMC or GMS, thats the hard part.baD iDeA |

Its literally easy just to give an item a lore that says "this item was made in creative by [username]" but that's still work |

Again, it's a plugin, not a plug in. They have nothing to do with plugging anything in.Plugin = noun Plug in = verb Chest locking and automatically locking every gmc item (items from saved toolbars too) without locking gms items is barely (if at all) comparable. |

@Aouldrain - Architects would be able to sell GMS items like everyone else. There would just be a plug in to stop GMC items being put onto shop signs. It would benefit Architects rather than disadvantage them.@Grovmeister - This is probably a better idea than what I suggested and most likely easier to set up. @Presinus - It's more how the plugins work that I'm comparing - not what they do. |

This would be possible, but requires either:a) finding a plugin that does this b) getting somebody to make one, which will cost something (money or rank) I suggested this a while ago in game and it never caught traction |

It would be extremely hard for this to be accomplishable. First off, the difference between the coding required for LWC (chest/door lock plugin) and the proposed GMC item restrictor is first, it is easy for LWC to have its own database to register when a player places a chest, to automatically lock it and remember that chest. With the GMC restrictor thingy it'll be hard because first, you need first a way to detect which game mode that item came from, which I imagine would be a feat itself. Also, you'd have to add a way of support between the shop plugin, the custom GMC restrictor plugin and possibly essentials, and have them all effectively communicate to tell each other "Hey, this thing is from creative, get rid of it!" Also, the proposed plugin would very likely be broken if you mix items from GMC into items from survival, and would be a huge bypass. Let's say that someone who wants to make a quick profit as an Arch grabs 63 diamonds, and adds one more from survival to make a stack of 64 diamonds. It would be difficult to code these large flaws into such a cumbersome plugin. |

The 30% rule isn’t due to gmc. It’s because money sits in architects account due to the fact they have gmc. It’s meant to stop the economy becoming stagnant. |

@Mr_Black_Is_Back - Even if there isn't a plugin to do this, as you mentioned, the server could do this but for a certain amount of money. With the money the server receives from ranks and donations, the server could pretty easily afford to make a new plugin.@ImTyeDye - It would be hard to accomplish but over a few months could be done. Even though it would be time consuming and expensive it would be well worth it. As you stated that this plugin could be bypassed there is a plugin out there which will stop this happening. I know of a server that has a plugin a lot like this. If staff would like to know of the server I'd be happy to tell them. @Maca29 - I know that GMC items making their way into the economy isn't the main reason, but it does contribute to the 30% rule. |

It would not at all be worth "a few months" of work. So many better /more effective things can be done in that time. What if item IDs are updated again? The new feature you're suggesting would have to be remade from scratch. Also @maca I'm pretty sure the 30% rule has made the economy more stagnant, if anything. |

I'm not entirely sure if it's even possible to do with such a large flaw, and it could prove to be extremely laggy, having to keep logs for every individual thing on the server, knowing when it was made, every container it was put in, where and came from, and how many players have had it. Also, there's no point in doing this for this small of a server. If it was as mainstream as Hypixel or something, it MIGHT be useful. |

I’ve been thinking and I’ve realised that the plugin wouldn’t be a great idea. I’m not sure whether you’re supposed to close suggestions or leave them. Thanks to everyone who read and commented on this suggestion.Just in case you’re supposed to close them - Suggestion closed |
