What is it: A megastructure spanning 10 floors that would be built voluntarily by me and the several people who found the idea really cool when I first suggested it, along with any other volunteers, as well as staff who'd make the place public and arm it properly once all is said and done.

What is it used for: Every week, players would be allowed to have an attempt at the dungeon. The dungeon contains deadly traps, difficult terrain and hazards as well as strategically placed and/or powerful mobs. After clearing each floor of the dungeon, a reward of items and/or money would be given. The players may then either continue deeper down or call it a day for the week.

Difficulty and details: The dungeon would contain 10 floors with the first five being designed to be a challenge for a single player, the following three (up to eighth) designed to be extremely hard, and the last two floors designed with multiple players in mind. First floors would start with mostly combat, with the traps and parkour sections becoming more plentiful in later floors. Players would not be able to bring gear into the dungeon. Entering it would supply them with starter gear, though they may find things within the dungeon such as potions, food, better weapons/armor or ores used to power beacons, as well as more utility items like pearls or totems.

Rewards: The monetary rewards for clearing the dungeon floors should be minor, and more focus should be given on the items. The 10 floor reward could be a trident for each player. The ninth floor reward may be a beacon, followed by books of mending and other, less-rare items as you get to floor 1. This isn't a major part of the dungeon idea. Staff decides the rewards, after all.

Additional notes:
-When a dungeon is started, a notice should pop up for about 30 seconds allowing other players to join up and form a party. A separate command may be used to start the dungeon alone without allowing others to join.
-A few copies of the dungeon may be made to allow multiple attempts at the same time.
-Additional dungeons may be made if the first is accepted and turns out successful.
-Possible things to add to the idea include different classes/equipment sets for starting the dungeon, as well as tokens gained for clearing it that one could use for unique perks like better starting gear or buffs while in the dungeon.

Why is this being suggested: It would give people an additional source of fun, more reason to play, inspire people and alliances to work together more, and allow access to some rarer items to devoted dungeon delvers, and not just merchants and a few explorers. Also, people liked this idea.

+1 sounds fun to do my do my dude, let's just give you enough time to flesh out your idea to the point where it flawlessly fits onto the server like clip into a gun :)
